About Professor Dungeon
Hi, I’m Harry - otherwise known as Professor Dungeon - a life-long table-top gaming enthusiast (if it involves sitting around the table with friends, sharing stories, playing cards, creating strategies or going on adventures, I’ve probably tried it). Following several years in the education field, I began looking for ways to spruce up what was beginning to feel like a stale classroom environment - teacher up front, students in seats, and no-one really encouraged to talk. To achieve this, I began to look to my own hobbies and one such area seemed rich pickings for an invigorating, collaborative learning environment: Dungeons & Dragons!
I quickly began implementing D&D as part of my curriculum and the results were explosive! Given that Dungeons & Dragons offers a unique blend of social interaction, creative storytelling, and problem-solving, the impact on students academic and social development was profound. It provides a platform for building friendships, developing critical thinking skills, and unleashing imagination in a collaborative environment. Whether players are drawn to the strategic combat, the intricate world-building, or the collaborative storytelling, D&D offered something for everyone!
Following the astounding success in the classroom, I decided to offer my Games Master experiences outside of school - which led to the creation of Professor Dungeon: D&D Social Clubs, Half-Term Adventures, Educational Experiences and Events!
Our mission is to unleash imagination, build friendships, and develop critical thinking skills in a collaborative environment.
“I actually love Dungeons and Dragons! The adventures are so fun and it’s made me better at creating things in school .”
— Quote from a founding player of Professor Dungeon’s Social Club
